/&gt;以我上年開發的Flash Animation套件作藍本擴充&lt;br /&gt;(由Flash 導出圖像及動畫資料, 再以OpenGL ES繪畫)&lt;br /&gt;前幾天終於完成&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2D Avatar 最重要的是Draw Order&lt;br /&gt;整個系統的設計也以Draw Order為中心&lt;br /&gt;而"骨"與"骨"沒有任何關連&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;系統特色:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;以Flash製作動畫並導出&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;以骨骼動畫圖層次序決定Draw Order&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;沒有身體部件的限制, 身體的構造完全由Artist決定&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;可換不同Skin圖像花紋&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;可換不同膚色 (顏色可在程式內自由調試)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;可換不同裝備&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;裝備可換不同顏色 (顏色可在程式內自由調試)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;裝備圖像支援多圖層, 所以一個裝備圖像可轉換多層顏色, 如一雙眼睛可有不同顏色&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;裝備動畫與骨骼動畫以名字作配對&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;不同裝備圖像可共用相同的裝備動畫, 新增裝備時可用回舊的裝備動畫&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;骨骼動畫之外, 裝備擁有自己獨立的動畫, 兩者可以同時播放並擁有各自的週期, 例如步行動畫跟眨眼動畫&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;以上功能應該可以製作任何2D Avatar&lt;br /&gt;最方便是Artist可以設定整個Avatar系統&lt;br /&gt;Programmer (是我) /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;我的工作室(這麼小的公司還是不敢自稱公司)最近幾個月都在招人&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;跟幾個剛畢業的大學生面試，他們都頗有潛質&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;可惜要短時間內投入實戰還差一點點&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;在這麼緊迫的進度下，實在抽不出資源教導他們&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;說「如果有多點資源，一定會聘請」好像有點不負責任，但那是真的呢&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br 上是16bit, 而在Mac OS 上是32bit&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;為免夜長夢多，決定繼續使用std::string 及 char&lt;br /&gt;加上UTF8 encoder/decoder&lt;br /&gt;渲染的時候，一個字需要一個整數去表示&lt;br /&gt;所以沒有甚麼複雜的整合&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;今天嘗試載入中文的文字檔&lt;br /&gt;發現讀取檔案後&lt;br /&gt;字串Buffer內Mac OS比Win32多了一個character&lt;br /&gt;是哪一個?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;是Carriage Return&lt;br /&gt;這大概和兩個平台的換行符號有關&lt;br /&gt;今天被問及往後的發展計劃&lt;br /&gt;腦內瞬間湧出大量遊戲畫面&lt;br /&gt;其實也沒有甚麼發展計劃&lt;br /&gt;每次都是專心做好眼前的遊戲後&lt;br /&gt;意想不到的事就會發生&lt;br /&gt;之前訂立好的計劃也會立即完全改變&lt;br /&gt;不太敢奢想甚麼&lt;br /&gt;因為自己還遠遠未達到自己的要求&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;其中一個在腦內閃過的遊戲:&lt;br /&gt;可能小時候受過小說與電視薰陶&lt;br /&gt;不知為何總是有一點武俠情結&lt;br /&gt;可惜沒有讓人滿意的3D武俠ARPG可玩&lt;br /&gt;就算業績報告收入以億計算&lt;br /&gt;每年也不過是推出一式一樣的線上遊戲&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;試試玩歐美的ARPG&lt;br /&gt;擁有"細膩"表情，面孔花上過萬polygon的"美女"&lt;br /&gt;也實在讓人提不起勁&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;理想的武俠ARPG大概是:&lt;br /&gt;Fable的遊戲世界換了武俠世界&lt;br /&gt;加上飛簷走壁的輕功系統&lt;br /&gt;加上飄逸的布質衣服與長髮&lt;br /&gt;加上自由配搭的劍招，但不要加上現在線上武俠遊戲的特效&lt;br /&gt;加上細緻的面孔&lt;br /&gt;加上...(下省數百點)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;當然這只是玩家角度的幻想 :P&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' /&gt;有點技術，但要做甚麼遊戲呢?&lt;br /&gt;想了很久，也得不到好的設計&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"會有公式嗎?" "為甚麼我想不到?"&lt;br /&gt;懷著好奇又帶點不忿，在圖書館找了很多本遊戲設計書藉&lt;br /&gt;忘了看過多少本書，得不到結論&lt;br /&gt;但對遊戲設計了解更深，歸納了5條問題&lt;br /&gt;幫助反思一個遊戲概念(排名分先後)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;1. What makes your game fun? 你的遊戲有甚麼有趣的地方?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;一個沒趣的遊戲只是一個程式(Application)&lt;br /&gt;有趣的地方當然越多越好，但注意不要多餘。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;2. What makes your game unique? 你的遊戲有甚麼獨特性?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;獨特性很重要﹕這世界不需要二個一樣的遊戲。&lt;br /&gt;世界上有相似的遊戲嗎?  如有，你們有甚麼相同及不同之處?&lt;br /&gt;有甚麼地方勝過相似的遊戲? 可以由相似的遊戲上得到寶貴的經驗嗎?&lt;br /&gt;人喜歡比較，尤其是相似的東西。&lt;br /&gt;你的遊戲將無可避免地與其他遊戲比較，尤其是相似範疇內最高質素的遊戲。&lt;br /&gt;如果沒有比較，你就是最棒的了!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;3. What are the expected emotions of player? 玩家會得到甚麼感覺/情感?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;玩家情感隨著時間/互動事件會有不同的變化，&lt;br /&gt;如果能掌握玩家情緒將能大大提升投入度。&lt;br /&gt;外國還有一個專門詞語:Emotion Engineering&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;4. When will player get rewarded? 玩家甚麼時候有獎勵?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;獎勵的用途很廣泛，如誘餌一樣，&lt;br /&gt;引導玩家跟循設計者預設的方向走。&lt;br /&gt;在困難挑戰後給予的果實，特別甜美。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;5. When will player discover new elements? 玩家甚麼時候會發現新元素?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;定期發現新元素能保持新鮮感，也是讓人沈迷的起點。&lt;br /&gt;這問題也在問設計者﹕你的遊戲玩法會有甚麼變化?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;雖然賣得不算好，但學習到的經驗非金錢能夠衡量&lt;br /&gt;作為第一次製作的橫向動作遊戲，質素還算不錯吧&lt;br /&gt;Sad Princess原本打算是4位公主像Castle Crasher般可連線一起玩的&lt;br /&gt;但獨立團隊負擔不了那麼長的開發時間&lt;br /&gt;只好轉換簡單一點的玩法&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;在Touch Screen上玩動作遊戲很難有手感&lt;br /&gt;還是製作簡單操控的遊戲比較好&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;失敗，總比原地踏步好&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;在一個將近日落的森林深處，一位公主對一隻小野豬展開了攻擊&lt;br /&gt;攻擊在世界中留下了一道光痕，而小野豬看起來有點痛&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;--------這是沈悶技術資料的分界線----------&lt;br /&gt;- 這是一個使用了2D圖像的3D世界&lt;br /&gt;- 所有場景物件也出自一個Billboard System，渲染只需要一個Draw Call&lt;br /&gt;- 每個角色(公主與野豬)只用了一張256x256圖片及一個大約900KB的動畫檔&lt;br /&gt;- 動畫以Key Frame作Blending，效果非常的順滑&lt;br /&gt;- 光痕是一粒可變形的粒子，可隨時間位移、縮放(X/Y軸獨立)、旋轉、轉換顏色、漸入漸出等&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;為了讓生產更具效率，我們製作了以下的工具/模組:&lt;br /&gt;- Flash動畫導出器，導出動畫與碰撞/攻擊範圍資料&lt;br /&gt;- Flash圖像導出器，可由向量圖形導出任何尺寸的圖像&lt;br /&gt;- 動畫資料整合工具(使用wxWidgets作GUI)，可合併動畫資料及將各部份小圖像包裝為大圖像&lt;br /&gt;- 動畫預覽工具(使用wxWidgets作GUI)，使用遊戲的動畫程式庫的工具，可預覽在遊戲中實際會看到的動畫&lt;br /&gt;- 定義場景物件的XML Scheme&lt;br /&gt;- 定義粒子系統的XML Scheme&lt;br /&gt;- 定義遊戲世界的XML Although the schedule is a bit slower than expected, the delivery so far  is still impressive. The attack produced a glowing line and the boar looked painful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----------------Here is a seperating line of boring technical stuff ---------------&lt;br /&gt;- It was a 3D world with 2D graphics&lt;br /&gt;- All the scene objects were from a billboard system, which only required one draw call&lt;br /&gt;- Each character(princess and boar) only used one 256 x 256 textures and one ~900KB animation file&lt;br /&gt;- The animations are blend by key frames and they looked pretty smooth&lt;br /&gt;- The glowing line was a deformable particle that able to translate, scale, rotate, blend color, fade out, ...etc. during run time&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For the production pipeline, what we have done so far:&lt;br /&gt;- A Flash animation exporter that exports not only animations but also body and attack collider data&lt;br /&gt;- A Flash image exporter that exports PNG images at any scale (Beneficialed by vector graphics)&lt;br /&gt;- An animation processor that combine animations to animation group and packed image&lt;br /&gt;- An animation viewer with simple GUI using wxWidgets that uses game API to display exported animation data&lt;br /&gt;- A XML scheme that defines scene data&lt;br /&gt;- A XML scheme that defines particle system data&lt;br /&gt;- A XML scheme that defines game world data&lt;br /&gt;- A XML scheme that defines GUI data with key frame blending effects&lt;br /&gt;- A XML scheme that defines character states and attributes (FSM)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From what the title stated, it's just the starting point of a long long journey. Resize Document&lt;br /&gt;4. margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 486px; height: 352px;" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4003/4447353325_68a2463278_o.jpg" alt="" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;根據以往的經驗，製作Graphical User Interface(GUI) 的時間相當費時&lt;br /&gt;用程式碼去實作遊戲內有特效的GUI更猶如跑馬拉松(是真的!我跑過最少兩次)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;對於我這種缺錢又沒時間的一人開發小組來說&lt;br /&gt;開發一個工具是一件窮奢極侈的事&lt;br /&gt;可是工作上還是很需要，怎麼辦?&lt;br /&gt;我的選擇是退而求其次&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;首先看看理想的GUI工作流程(個人覺得)&lt;br /&gt;1. GUI編輯器製作GUI&lt;br /&gt;2. 由GUI編輯器輸出XML資料&lt;br /&gt;3. 在程式內載入XML資料並自動綁定Event&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;再看看現實我的GUI工作流程&lt;br /&gt;1. 用文字編輯器(如Notepad)編寫XML資料&lt;br /&gt;2. 用測試程式去預覽GUI特效&lt;br /&gt;3. 在程式內載入XML資料並手動綁定Event&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;兩個工作流程的分別主要在於一個很昂貴的GUI編輯器&lt;br /&gt;我的工作流程的工作量比較大&lt;br /&gt;但是對於資源貧乏的我來說後者比較實際&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;我設計的GUI系統很簡單，只需要2個XML檔案: .gui以及 .gbs&lt;br /&gt;.gui用作定義GUI版面&lt;br /&gt;而.gbs用作定義特效動畫&lt;br /&gt;這樣辛苦定義的特效動畫就可以很容易地重用&lt;br /&gt;而以下的參數可以用作特效動畫&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;位置&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;尺寸(大小)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;顏色&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;圖像ID&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;這GUI系統已經可以在IPod Touch上執行&lt;br /&gt;但載入XML的速度極慢&lt;br /&gt;需要大量優化才可正式使用&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;暫時我最滿意的是即時性更改&lt;br /&gt;XML檔案作改動後只需儲存再按測試程式內的Reload&lt;br /&gt;不用再等Compile以及起動&lt;br /&gt;省回很多很多時間&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;先責聲明: Skin)(使用者介面皮膚?)&lt;br /&gt;由於整個使用流程非常的簡單&lt;br /&gt;Artist(用家)很容易就將一堆細小的圖Pack到一張大圖&lt;br /&gt;並將小圖的座標存到XML給我&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;當要使用的時候，問題來了&lt;br /&gt;每個小圖也有一個ID，這個ID可用作查詢Texture Coordinates(紋理座標)&lt;br /&gt;我第一個衝口而出的問題是: 甚麼ID是甚麼圖?&lt;br /&gt;當然，有很多迂迴的方法可以查詢某圖的ID&lt;br /&gt;但這明顯窒礙了工作流程&lt;br /&gt;所以下一個版本的Image Packer將會添加多一個功能:&lt;br /&gt;輸出多一張圖，整齊的列出所有圖的ID&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br type='text'>橫跨 PC / iPhone 的遊戲框架</title><content type='html'>忘了從哪時開始，變得好大喜功&lt;br /&gt;就算得一個人(寫程式)也想製作橫跨 PC / iPhone 的遊戲框架&lt;br /&gt;也忘了是哪一天，突然想通了如何連接兩個平台&lt;br /&gt;於是一頭熱的買齊所有裝備著手製作&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a Framework(沒甚麼特別意思的)&lt;br /&gt;在PC上基於PowerVR SDK，而在iPhone上則基於Oolong Engine 2&lt;br /&gt;現在已完成的部份:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Axis Aligned Billboard&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Game State Transition&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Material (Draw by material)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Particle System&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Scene Graph&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;上圖是一個渲染測試&lt;br 方式放進code裡&lt;br /&gt;這方法很原始, 但夠簡單直接&lt;br /&gt;作為Programmer, 我每一次打座標的時候都有強烈的感覺&lt;br /&gt;"座標應該由程式自檔案讀取的!!"&lt;br /&gt;可惜, 一年來都找不到時間去改進&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;以下是一個使用wxWidgets用了2天製作的習作: Image Packer&lt;br /&gt;Image Packer的功能只有數款&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;載入圖檔(.png)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;移除已載入圖檔&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Pack(包裝?)圖檔&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;儲存包裝後的圖檔以及輸出圖檔座標&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;wxWidgets意外的易上手&lt;br /&gt;看了數小時manual以及sample就開始coding了&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;使用流程:&lt;br /&gt;首先載入小圖檔&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" interesting sprite editor&lt;br /&gt;This is a sprite editor made in a few days(part time) using ClanLib&lt;br /&gt;Originally the editor is aimed to editing character animations for Cherish(intended to be a 2D fighting game)&lt;br /&gt;Actually I forgot the reason why the development was stopped&lt;br /&gt;I like this character very much, hope I can bring her to a real game in some days&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;在整理檔案的時候, 找到一個有趣的Sprite Editor&lt;br /&gt;這是用ClanLib花了幾天時間(part time)去製作的&lt;br /&gt;這個editor原本是Cherish(2D 格鬥遊戲)的角色動畫編輯器&lt;br /&gt;已經忘了停止開發的原因&lt;br /&gt;我很喜歡這角色, 看了2年也覺得很美&lt;br /&gt;希望有天可以將她帶到真實的遊戲&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;我記得當年是因為玩完Odin Sphere之後&lt;br /&gt;想試試當中觀察到的技術&lt;br /&gt;2年後, 他們的進步由朧村正&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;表現出來&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;如無意外&lt;br /&gt;在今年年底我也會以XNA著手開發相似的Editor&lt;br /&gt;經過2年前這個Sprite Editor的經驗&lt;br /&gt;應該可以更進一步&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='雜談'/><title type='text'>遊戲製作的點滴</title><content type='html'>要完成一隻可玩的遊戲絕不容易&lt;br /&gt;縱使是何等簡單的遊戲&lt;br /&gt;在最後Polish的工序上非得要人吃點力方可完成&lt;br /&gt;這是經驗&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;即使如此&lt;br /&gt;抱著熱忱去製作遊戲的人仍如恆河沙數&lt;br /&gt;我亦是其中一粒細沙&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Polish的工序包含甚麼呢?&lt;br /&gt;廣如整體物件的顏色協調&lt;br /&gt;狹如某數個數值的平衡&lt;br /&gt;目的就是要彫琢為成品--至少瑕疵不會顯露在表面上&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;推出遊戲後那一週總是很難集中&lt;br /&gt;每隔數十分鐘都會無意識的到google搜尋&lt;br /&gt;搜尋Review&lt;br /&gt;搜尋玩家對遊戲的第一印象&lt;br /&gt;搜尋玩家的評價以及建議&lt;br /&gt;當然有正面的也必然有負面的&lt;br /&gt;有時候Review的人根本沒怎樣玩過就給出負面的評語&lt;br /&gt;看了沒感覺是騙人的&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;也罷&lt;br /&gt;想通後又成長了&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;我特地在每個遊戲的Credits內留下email&lt;br /&gt;在第一、二星期有點怕去看email&lt;br /&gt;因為超過40%的機率是Bug Report, 那完全是我的責任&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;我很幸運&lt;br /&gt;暫時只收過正面的email&lt;br /&gt;最窩心的說話大概是"I love this game!"&lt;br /&gt;收到這種email的當天工作效率會提高一點&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;最近推出的遊戲是機械人Third Person Shooter(TPS)&lt;br /&gt;說真的, 在測試遊戲的時候才發現我不太擅長玩TPS&lt;br /&gt;經常也有點頭暈&lt;br /&gt;最近收到幾個留言&lt;br /&gt;是玩家想跟身為遊戲製作者的我對戰&lt;br /&gt;究竟我輸了給他們之後會發生甚麼事?&lt;br /&gt;必定是一場激戰(哈)&lt;div
